Zirconiated TIG tungsten's are a type of tungsten electrode commonly used in Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding. These electrodes are made from a blend of 99.2% tungsten and 0.8% zirconium oxide, which provides them with superior performance characteristics. Zirconiated TIG tungsten's are known for their excellent resistance to corrosion, making them a reliable choice for welding applications that involve reactive metals, such as aluminium and magnesium. They also offer good thermal conductivity, which helps to minimise heat distortion and improve weld quality. Additionally, zirconiated TIG tungsten's are normally used with a DC welding current.
