If the captured welding fumes contain carcinogenic hazardous substances such as nickel oxides or chromium (VI) compounds, then in combination with the certified filter of the unit W3 certification from the Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (IFA) for clean air recirculation is mandatory in Germany.
