Heres a simple way to do it:
Use a clean container
Choose a small ceramic or glass dish avoid metal as it can react with the flux.Add flux powder
Pour in a small amount of silver solder flux powder.Add clean water gradually
Slowly add distilled water or clean tap water while stirring. Start with a few drops.Mix to a paste
Stir with a clean spatula or brush until you get a thick, smooth paste similar to toothpaste. Avoid lumps or overly runny mix.Apply immediately
Brush the flux paste onto the joint area of the metal where the silver solder will flow. Make sure the metal is clean and grease-free first.Only mix as much as youll use that day dried-out flux can lose effectiveness.
Store any unused paste in an airtight container to prevent drying.
