  • Description

MIG Brazing Wire, ideal for welding materials of similar composition eg copper alloy (brass). Frequently used in artistic foundries where good colour match is required, also for MIG brazing zinc coated steel sheets in the automotive industry.
Commonly used by car bodyshops for braze/weld of Boron steel. Shielding gas should be pure Argon. Supplied as a 4kg spool.

Benefits of C9 MIG Brazing Wire

         Lower heat input

    • MIG brazing with C9 wire uses a lower melting temperature compared to steel welding wire.
    • This reduces heat distortion and prevents burn-through on thin sheet metals, making it ideal for car bodywork and galvanised steel.

        Excellent Corrosion Resistance

    • The copper-silicon composition offers superior corrosion resistance.
    • Perfect for use on zinc-coated (galvanised) and high-strength steels, as it prevents damage to protective coatings.

        Preserves Base Metal Strength

    • Since brazing doesnt melt the base metal, the mechanical properties (such as tensile strength) of high-strength steels are maintained.
    • Essential in automotive repair where OEMs require this process for safety-critical components.

        Clean, Smooth Finish

    • Produces neat, spatter-free weld beads with minimal post-cleaning required.
    • The copper-silicon alloy gives a bright finish, reducing the need for excessive grinding or finishing.

        Good Gap-Bridging Ability

    • Offers excellent flow and wetting characteristics, making it easier to bridge gaps and join dissimilar or thin materials.

        OEM-Approved for Automotive Use

    • Widely approved by vehicle manufacturers (e.g., VW, Audi, BMW, Mercedes) for body panel repairs and crash-safe steel applications.
