Gasless MIG Welding Wire 4.5kg 0.8mm
- Description
Gasless MIG wire is a flux cored type of welding wire that does not require an external shielding gas during welding. This wire is designed for use in MIG welding machines and is ideal for welding in outdoor or windy conditions, where a shielding gas may be difficult to use effectively. The wire contains a flux core that melts during welding, producing a shielding gas that protects the weld pool from contamination and oxidation. Gasless flux-cored MIG wire is suitable for welding a variety of materials, including mild steel, stainless steel, and galvanised steel.
(don't forget you will need a dual polarity type MIG to run this wire) Genuine 0.8mm diameter

Hardness BHN 120Where You Would Use Gasless MIG Wire:
Outdoor Welding
- Perfect for welding in windy conditions where shielding gas would blow away.
Common in farm repairs, fencing, and outdoor fabrication.
On-Site Repairs & Maintenance
- Great for construction, agricultural, and field work, where carrying gas bottles isnt practical.
Handy for equipment repairs (tractors, trailers, machinery).
Thicker Mild Steel
- Works best on mild steel over 1.5mm thick.
Delivers deep penetration, making it good for structural welding and heavy-duty jobs.
DIY & Hobby Welding
- Popular with home welders because you dont need gas bottles or regulators.
Just plug in the welder, load the spool, and weld.
Rusty, Dirty, or Galvanised Steel
- Flux core wire is more forgiving on less-than-perfect metal surfaces.
Often used for quick fixes on rusty gates, car panels, and steel plate.
