347 stainless steel TIG rods (classified as ER347) are niobium-stabilised austenitic stainless steel filler metals designed for welding stainless steels that are exposed to elevated temperatures and require enhanced resistance to intergranular corrosion. These rods are commonly used where components will operate in the 450°C–850°C temperature range, where standard stainless fillers may become susceptible to carbide precipitation.
