Hi Stewart,

Both packages arrived this morning, will let you know what I think about the welder as soon as I have time to get it up and running. Once again thank you for a hassle free transaction.

Oxford MigMate 180 Mig Welder
Hi Gary, I bought an Oxford Migmate 180 from you a few months ago and wondered if it was possible for you to supply me with a feed roller for running 0.6mm wire through it? The machine came highly recommended by you and can I just say you were right!!!! It is beautifully smooth and I really enjoy using it. It's not a modern glamorous looking welder with loads of unnecessary bells and whistles on it, but produces fantastic welds which is what it's all about!!!!! Just fancy trying it on 0.6!!! Look forward to hearing from you soon. Regards, Daren England, Classic Motorworks

MTA 181 Mig Welder
Further to my recent mig purchase I would like to offer a little feedback. When my trusty old hobby welder expired recently I was forced to make a decision whether or not to replace at a similar quality or step up to a better machine. After some time researching my options and helped by a quick delivery estimate I decided to purchase an MTA 181 mig. Upon arrival I was impressed with the sturdy package but the real test was to be actually using it. I was not disappointed! Consistent, smooth welds and superb versatility with the control have shown it to be perfect for its’ intended use on a classic car. I’m sure with further use that versatility will shine through even more. In my opinion worth every penny and my only regret is not buying one earlier. All in all a great package with helpful customer service. Thanks for everything. Regards Steve Hale.

Fabricator 181i Compact Mig Welder
Great little machine! So far I have only used it on the mig option, welding from 0.8mm to 6mm steel and have found output very smooth. It’s very smooth and easy to operate. Bascially, does everything it says on the tin! - Mike Savage, Orkney Islands

MTA 181 Compact Mig Welder
As the owner of a car restoration company I use many different types of welders and generally go for the branded machines as I believe that the quality is better and they last longer. I needed a MIG machine for part time use when I had several welding jobs on the go at the same time so I bought the MTA 181 Compact Mig Welder because it seemed a good price for the quality. The machine is well built and has a brilliant range of amps, it welds perfectly with 0.6 or 0.8 wire on the low, intermediate and high settings. The only problem I have is that everyone prefers to use it rather than the Cebora which cost far more money, in fact I could have bought 2 of these for the price of 1 Cebora. Overall opinion - a great, reliable machine to use easily at a good price. - Paul Baker of PBCM

Thermadyne Arcmaster 200 AC/DC Tig Welder
As the owner of a car restoration company I wanted a mobile 240 volt TIG welder so I could work on Aluminium cars out on site as well as in the workshop. I chose the Thermadyne Arcmaster 200 AC/DC Tig Welder as it was recommended by Gary the owner of Mig Tig Arc it also had a 3 year warranty so I thought it must be reliable. I hadn’t heard of that particular brand so I was sceptical at first as I had always used more know brands such as Cebora & Murex. This machine has been one of the best I have bought, very easy to use and with a great variety of settings. It has never cut out through over heating or tripped fuses on full amps unlike many other brands I have used. I have the additional foot-pedal as I do aluminium which I find easier to control the weld heat with but it operates on multi stage amps etc within the digital set up if necessary. Overall opinion - A great mobile TIG with a good, smooth power range. - Paul Baker of PBCM - www.pbcm.co.uk

Hi Gary, just an email to give feed back on my mig welder purchase. After a couple of weeks of research on the internet looking for a mig welder to suit my needs i came across your website which has a great choice on offer and sent an email to get more info and prices. i got a prompt reply and decided to go for the MTA181 mig welder which was in stock and ready to collect from the shop with all the other items and advice i asked for. I have used the welder alittle so far and my brother gave it a good work out for a few hours and it has worked even better than i expected giving a great looking weld and its really user friendly and very adjustable with the 12 power settings. so i would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a mig welder in this amp range! - Many Thanks Graham Staples (9/5/11)

Some feedback on the Oxford 270-1 Single Phase

Good Points
You "Can" run it on a 13 amp plug - erm but not "Flat out" - I need to go shopping for a 16 amp unit ! The welds are superb - I've welded now for 25 Yrs + my old Welder was good, this is superb, I love the synergic controller, this will make an average welder good, and a good look, well BL**DY Good !.
It had sat in the workshop and I had just had a quick "Play" welding 2 x 6mm Steel together, did a nice clean bead, very impressed, decided I needed some time to practise with it and get used to it, as I often find with anyones elses welder it takes time to learn the machine - Then a Mate appeared, with .....
1 X Bit of stainless (old) Exhaust, and 1 x Bit of mild steel (old and rusty) exhaust, and asked me to "Weld dem up mate" I was so delighted, even more so to see I had 1mm wire in the machine. So, set it to 2nd lowest setting, and tried on a of cut, and the machine blew a hole and then automatically lowered its own settings !.
Then cleaned it all up I welded a beautiful weld- all the way around this nightmare bodge without blowing a hole, lowered its self to 29 +/_ amps
and it buzzed away, just amazed, superb kit.
Bad Points
Erm - You made me actually pay for it ? :-D
I am absolutely chuffed with this machine, the warranty gives reassurance, the price is decent, and the weld quality is nearly as good as your service Thanks Gary,

“We ordered a ‘Thermadyne Fabricator 250 mig welder’ and a ‘Thermadyne Cutmaster 10 plasma cutter’ from Mig Tig Arc in May 2011. The personal service from the point of interest to order was excellent. We received a very competitive price for the tools and consumables, even when compared to online shops. We were, however most impressed by the service and advice provided at the time of order and during all after sales discussions. Overall we had a very positive experience and have found a great supplier for our business”.

Hello Gary / Stuart....>> Invoice Number ****** Date 11/10/2010
Well the welder arrived from the factory on 28th october and I have put the wheels on over the weekend, loaded the wire etc.
Today 1st Nov I thought I'd give its first run out on a repair of a Discovery floor, what a breeze after using my old SIP 150 turbo,
smooth as silk and the wire feed, nothing like what I've been used to, My last welder was s**t compared to this one.
I am very pleased with the Oxford.

I was intending to buy a PORTAMIG 185 Amp Package with 2 Year Warranty / copper wound transformers protected with a 5 year warranty etc etc.
It's basically an MTA 181 with the slightly lower 15amp setting from what I can see.

But the three times I phoned Weldequip I always got an answer machine so decided to plump for the Oxford from yourself which has the same 2 years warranty and 5 years transformer cover.+ at least I can speak to you and you answer your phone.
Who needs the Unique, ultra-low minimum setting of just 15 Amps! You'd be just about striking an arc at much 20 amps let alone 15 amps which is I think just a gimmick and besides I won't be welding anything as thin as toilet paper.
Please post any part of this on your web site ( with name and address supplied ) so that any future customers can see what a good machine the Oxford is.

It might cost a little bit more than the Portamig and the MTA 181 but one gets what one pays for.
Kind Regards Tom.

Hi

just a note about the oxford mig welder that I purchased from you PROBABLY THE BEST WELDER I HAVE USED [and ive used a good few] it just sings along smooth as silk I am very pleased with it thank you very much for a good transaction

The flame kit is performing better than I thought it would in fact it has paid for itself doing the one job that I bought it for.

Kind regards mark west @ west 4x4

Hi,

I brought my fimer welder from you a few days ago and used it straight away. I am really happy, I was welding some thick steel plate on the lower settings. Whilst I can not compare it's performance to another machine I am happy with the job it does and will be getting lots of use from it in the summer months (before sixth form)! By the way can I purchase the mig wire from your website I couldn't find it on there?
