The Jackson-Air Plus™ system offers a highly efficient protection against environmental contaminants, such as dust, aerosols, particulates and fumes with a concentration of up to 40 times the relevent exposure limit. With a weight of 1050 grams this unit competes well against convenional systems for wearer comfort. This portable unit, which is one of the lightest in its class, provides a constant steady flow of fresh air which can be increased to 200 l/m or decreased to 160 l/m at the touch of a button, thus reducing discomfort from increased air pressure or unclean air. The design of the head unit is such that it also allows the user to wear glasses or protective eyewear. The blower unit comes complete with removable lithium ion battery and P3 filter. The unit is evenly balanced on the belt to allow full movement and maximises comfort for the wearer and has an acoustic alarm system that warns the user if the flow rate drops below 140 lpm, thus alerting the operator to ineffective performance from the unit.
