The Tradesarc 151iAS is a superb performer with all kinds of electrode including difficult cellulosic type rods. To that end the user can select a special MMA mode with additional arc force to provide the required characteristics. In addition selecting TIG Lift-arc enables the unit to be used as a precision DC TIG welder for stainless and the like up to 4mm or for pipe rooting applications. An optional TIG kit, containing a TIG torch with on-handle gas valve and other required items, is available for this purpose.
